I have integrated exchange 2007 into my corporate network. I know that with new laws email needs to be saved for X amount of years. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts to share on the best way to accomplish this.

I know Exchange has all kinds of new features and enhanced journaling I believe handle this; however, when it comes to those "extra" functions (SPAM and Antivirus included), I look first at dedicated appliances. I use Barracuda Networks for SPAM and Virus filtering (yes I still will run some form of antivirus at the server and desktop level) and they just came out with message archiving appliance as well.
So Internet--SPAM/Virus Firewall--Message Archive--Exchange
You just point your Exchange to send messages out through the Archive and your covered for both incoming and outgoing messages. There are definetly others that I'm sure do a great job, just look at some advertised on I'm just a big fan of keeping services/applications as separate as possible in this case.
My two cents.

I am a fan of separation also I noticed that exchange 2007 has a replication feature for the storage groups. I am reading up on that, to see what might be useful.

Thanks for your thoughts.
