Has anyone documented a procedure for loading the Corp. Dir with PDT and it work? I have loaded it and can see the file listed under /u/db. I have also used the symload,update_corp_dir, and init_corp_dir. Still shows unavailable at the phones. I have rebooted but no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a 61c with 3.0 software. I loaded the CPDIR.CVS file with the format of last name, first name, and DN.

I have always used the default format that OTM puts it in. Check to see if Corp directory is alowed on the set. Then use the M1 Corp directory format in OTM/MAT. Under utilities to create and upload the directory. Schedule the upload so you can edit the CSV file. Must be a CSV file.

I had a big fight with my corp dir...It kept all the old names and never uploaded the new names. I tried manually and it sill didn't work. This is just for interest sake.
You can manually delete the entries and then upload it....but here is the catch. Don't use excel to do it - use WordPad or notepad. For some reason excel changes the attributes of it and you cannot upload it. You have to run a report again - edit it in WordPad and then upload it, and bobs you uncle.
I can't remember who helped me on this previously but to you - thanks - much appreciated, and to all of you for the help.

Another tip is not to use wordpad or notepad. Use ultraedit or something else. Ultraedit doesn't change the LF or CR of the csv file. If if you aren't carefull enough wordpad and notepad can delete theese entries. So I have to agree with Riaanl not to use excel, but use a another program to change/add/delete theese values. The reason is that the operating system on the PABX is WindWiver, and whether what Nortel says or not, it's based upon unix file system that are very sensitive to the file structures.

Thanks I2007
Will try find it on the net now.

Cheers

Well still not working. What file name should I be saving it as under /u/db in the PBX cpdir.db or corpdir.csv ?????

This is what I have

/u/db/cpdir0.csv

the bakcup file is called /u/db/cpdir0.old

If you can't update using PDT try to ini the system. You'll get a message like: xx entries found in Corporate Directory during the startup. Use ini with causion.

Well here is where i stand today. I uploaded the file to correct location now. Thanks for the location and file name I2007. I used the symload command and INIT_CORP_DIR and UPDATE_CORP_DIR. I do get the confirmation that it updated and read 0 of 0 for the corp dir. I also tried to INI the switch but no luck. It is still unavailable at the phone when you select the corp dir at a M3904 with it turned on in the cls. Could there be something else that I am over looking?
