tft monitor brightness

hi all, i am now using a 15" tft monitor, it is an LG Flatron L1510s, its resolution is 1024x768 and at 24bit colour with a refresh rate of 75hz, can anyone sugest what brightness the monitor should be set to, i currently have it a 45 but feel it could be improved,

The brightness level would be a personal preference.
Keeping in mind though, the brighter you run it, the faster the backlight will go out. I have a similar screen, and run it at full brightness, because of the ambient light where it is used. I have been running it on average of 80 to 100 hours or so a week for wver 3 years and it is still fine.
