is there a way to do text warps in illustrator 9, like beable to bend text around a ball or something, like u can do in photoshop 6?

use the TYPE PATH TOOL located under the Default TYPE TOOL.........click on any path/circle/shape....and there ya go

Create a brush with the text as the object then you can do anything with the text.
