I have installed a "Combo Box" on a Spreadsheet to enable accurate selection of data from a list on another sheet. All is well EXCEPT for the size of the text in the Drop Down list.
The 'origin list' is in Arial 12, and is easily readable, but in the Combo Box drop down list the text size reduces to about 6, and is difficult to read. No matter what I do I cannot make the text size increase. This is the first time I have had this problem with a combo box.
Is there a font size control somewhere?

All help appreciated.

Tony,

Try using the Combo Box from the "Control Toolbox". It allows for many more options, including changing the Font size, background colors, etc.

To locate the "Control Toolbox", use: Tools - Customize

Hope this helps. :) Please advise as to how you make out.

Thanks Dale.
The course you recommend does provide many more attributes to vary, unfortunately there is no (Control) page(tab)in 'Properties' to enter 'Input Range' & 'Cell Link'. As I have insufficient VB I cannot take advantage of the facility.

I have achieved the result before, but I don't know how. I must review my practice with a more analytical aspect..

Or - if the only reason to have a combobox is to make sure users can only select certain values - maybe you should look at data>Validation>List - that way you can reference directly into the cell.

Set up a list of values on a seperate sheet and give it a range name (this is important as normal cell refs won't work on different sheets for data validation) - rangename = myList
Then, goto Data>Validation>List
and enter
=myList

Make sure in cell dropdown is ticked and choose your input / error messages

And the Control Toolbox *doe* have these two properties:
ListFillRange
LinkedCell

which replace the Input range and Cell Link respectively

Many thanx friends. Dale, Nikki & Geoff. Considering my relative stupidity I am pleased with myself in completeing the task set.

(Your collective assistance was invaluable).

I could have taken Geoffs advice but I did want to complete the plan.

I with your help, I have done.
Many thanx

Tony
