When I look at the content of a text field that contains multiple lines in Enterprise Manager all I see is <Long Text>.

Is there a way to reveal the contents?

Thanks,

Ron--

Not within Enterprise Manager.

In order to view the data in this field you'll need to look at the data in Query Analyzer.

Something many people don't realise (mostly because no one else told them) is that Enterprise Manager wasn't designed as a data viewing/data changing tool. It's an administrative tool. Data viewing should be done through Query Analyzer (it's got it's own quirks, but they are easy to deal with).

If you don't have much data in your text field (I don't know the limit) you can view it in Enterprise Manager. Once that limit is reached it's just to much data to view in that little cell, so EM simply returns the <Long Text>.

One way would be to open up a query analyzer session and run a query to display that column in text mode so you can see all of the text.

Make grid cells higher (click on leftmost separator line between any two rows and drag).
