You can use the facility test access code. You must first administer a feature code for facility test access and enable it. Then you need to enable it in the trunk group. Next you need to enable your COR to have permission to use it. Once you have administered all that, you dial the feature code, then dial XX for the cabinet number, then 1, 2, or 3 for shelf A, B, or C respectively, and then XX for the card number, then XX for the port number. For example, if you wanted to test 01A1022 you would dial the FAC, then 0111022. This will simply connect you with port 22 on that card. This can be done for CO trunks, as well as digital facilities.

I test trunks using the Verify button on my set. I press the verify button folowed by the TAC (trunk access code) the the 3 digit member number. Fro example I press verify the 103(TAC) then 001 first member in the group. Dialtone make a test call. If no dialtone trunk member has problem. Call telco. This works with both copper trunks and ISDN PRI trunks as well. However you must set dial access on the trunk form to Y.
