Testing PRI Trunks remotely?

I know how to set up a COT trunk test remotely, but has anyone ever been able to do the same thing remotely to test PRI channels? I would like to make a few calls from the PRI's to my site, just to see how calls are going out, but have no clue. I found nothing in the books (ld 36 or ld 60). Thanks

If there is only one COT type route (and it's the PRI), the LD36 .CALL command should work.

DISA is the only other way I know of.

there is no remote way to test channels on a PRI....

Build an ACD in the remote site with a DID # , night call fwd it to the right # in your site, then call the DID. If you have the right access set up you should be able to see it your end using ld 80 to TRAC the call. This way repeated calls should eventually test all the channels if that is what you want to do.

Most of the time this does not work on the PRI just like dialing the ACOD because it is a PRI the CO wants to know what the call type is and unless you go through BARS to make the call the PBX does not send anything out.

I have tried it remotely with the CALL command, but was getting TRK010 errors:

The whole reason this question was asked is there was a message in the voicemail system here (networked here via the PRI) that did not have the entire CLID announced back from the VMail. Normally, when they check the mailbox for that site, they note the number the call originated from for reference purposes. This time, the callers number CLID only came in as the NXX and not the NXX-xxxx. It seems like it was a one-time deal and I was not able to duplicate it again.

What I have done for critical remote sites that need frequent tests of various kinds is install a digital phone in our main office that is a TN of the remote system. All you need is an analog TN at each site (we'll call that the "carrier") , plus a set of these:
