QUESTION: How can I test my PPTPD connection?
SITUATION:
SERVER: Installed pptpd_1.1.2 (Debian kernel), works fine
I think, no errors.
CLIENT: Windows 2000 prof., VPN setup to server, works fine, can make a connection.
client and server connected peer to peer (only for the test)
Client ip 192.168.1.3
Server ip 192.168.1.2
ifconfig ppp0 (Server side)
10.0.1.1 (=ip from range defined in config)
ipconfig ppp0 (VPN connection, Client side)
192.168.1.2
Is it normal that I see the ip addresses or is something wrong. Is my connection setup right, and how can I test it.
I'm new to VPN and I intend to use it for VoIP to avoid NAT problems.
Thanks,
Wim
