Hi all,

I believe I have read all the documentation there is here
on the Remote Admin mode of Terminal Services and I still
haven't found an answer to my question. There is a
maximum of two concurrent sessions (excluding the console)
for the Remote admin mode. What I would like to know is,
are there any licenses, or third party software, or
anything that would allow more than two sessions in this
mode?
This would allow staff to perform admin tasks from their desktops.

Thanks,

Greg.

I think you have to go to application mode for that.

Yes, this is correct. You will need to switch modes and purchase a license for each workstation that will be connecting (They are like $15 each). Otherwise you are limited to 2 concurrent connections.

I am not sure what you want to accomplish exactly, but any third party apps may cost more than the required licenses (and not perform as well either). The only one which really comes to mind is Timbuktu Pro...

It was just a query.

Many thanks for rour response,

Greg.

Hi,

You could install Remote Admin from Famatech on each of your admin's PC's and all your servers.

Cheers,
Ogi
