Greetings all;

I have seemed to have an issue with terminal services not allowing some clients to print but allowing others to print.
They are all using the same group policy, all the printers have the correct drivers and you can see the sessions with those printers in the printer control panel.
However some of the offsite jobs can print and others can not. I have 2 printer that are the same one can print the other can not.

The group policy is very strict not allowing the user really any control just the use of the applications.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am assuming that these printers are local and at the remote end. If the printers are on a print server box (i.e. HPJetDirect) the user will not see the printer in terminal services as it only sees local printers. A work around this issue is to enable printer pooling. The printer must be installed as a local printer first (I have had to delete printers at times and reinstall them as local printers if they were initially setup as networked) then you can add a TCP/IP port and pool it with a local port (LPT1,2,3). Also you may want to log into Terminal Services as administrator and look for the printer. If you can see the printer as administrator then it's a rights issue--at times I have had to add the user in the printer security box to give them access.
