Have a private win2k lan setup with 1 server acting as TS apps server. Remote users can dialin via vpn through our router and firewall to work remotely. This works fine for people working on stand-alone machines.
The problem I have is that we also have a small remote lan where a user wishes to work remotely. They can use vpn to get in and work no problem. The problem occurs when they try and print. As soon as they wish to print something the connection just grinds and then locks up. Some printing is possible, but a 1 page doc in word will take about 5mins to print. Anything larger and the connection locks with an error message saying VBScript Error: remote connection timed out, disconnecting.
I have tried changing the printer and putting it on lpt1 without any joy. There doesn't seem to be anything in the error logs to suggest why this is doing this.
Would be grateful if any one else has encountered this problem could give me some pointers.
Thanks...Andy.
