I have a proliant server that I had to instll windows 2000 onto, then upgrade to 2003 standard. It appears that terminal server is not working for remote admin, and when I try to remote console from my other 2003 server it can't connect. Wonder what's going on here. When I try to connect to this server via terminal services for remote admin I get the generic message that its unavailable blah blah blah. The terminal server service is there and running... I am going to perhaps try and reinstall TS on the 2003 box tomorrow if I can. Any thoughts anyone? I just did a plain install of 2000 server, so probably no TS ( I dont remember, I didnt specifically install TS on the 2000 server install but I did upgrade it to SP4 before I upgraded to 2003. This server is running exchange 2003 too.)

right click on my computer, goto remote and select allow users to connect remotly to this computer.

Hi!

To run Win2k3 like Win2k Terminal Service for administration doesnt require that you install Terminal Services any more. Do as m4a2t0t said above if you want to remotely administrate your server.

Doh, I can't believe I missed that.

Thanks you guys, it worked!
