I am having my users login to terminal server. I need each user to create an Outlook Express account. The problem is, when they click on Outlook Express, they get an error stating that they do not have permissions to run the Internet Connection Wizard.

How do I change thier permissions so that they can run the Internet Connection Wizard and set-up their Outlook Express account?

You must be an Administrator or Power User to run the Internet Connection Wizard.

If you do not want to give all your users Admin or Power User rights you should just setup the Intenet settings in group policy. That way the wizzard will not even run for your users. It is located under: "User Configuration", "Windows Settings", "Internet Explorer Maintenance", "Connection"

Hi,

I have had a similar problem and fixed it on the Terminal Server by changing the Group Policy.

Type gpedit.msc at the Start Run Box. Go to
User Configuration | Administration Templates | Windows Components | Internet Explorer and there is an option to Disable the Internet Connection Wizard.

That should fix your problem.

Regards,

Greg
