We have a terminal server that is used by our remote sites to long in to an HRVantage application. This was working fine, until two weeks ago. Our IT director left the company and the CFO hired an outsourcing company to provide a person for that role while they evaluate the inter department. Well this interim director did not like the way we had our domian setup and decided to change a few things. One of these things was that the Terminal server was a DC as well, he demoted it to an application server, and since then only administrators can run the HRVantage application on this server. We convinced him to try and promote the server back but it did not fix the problem. He nor his pers have a workable solution for this, other than make all HRVantge users admins. He will not let us get vendors help since they want $550 for the call.
This is what I have learned. It is a permissions problem on the Terminal server, if the application is run on a users local machine we have no problems. But that is not an option for our remote sites.
If any one can make some suggestion or point me in the right direction I would appreciated it.
