I ‘m stuck trying to find out the cause of an issue on a shared network between Linux and Windows 2003

here is the back ground and the question

User for secuitry reasons are setup in the RDP and Guest Group but user is does not loggon to termianl server.

Terminal services is setup to have user auto logoff in 30\min if user session is inactive for more configured time

If user is inactive for 30min but is logged in via other method IE(BOOTP SERVICE) will user get logged off when Terminal Service timeout policy is reach?

Thanks any help will be great!

I don't understand your question.

Are you asking if the TS idle time applies to other sessions beyond terminal services? If so the answer is no.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
