Does anyone know the minimum systems requirements that a Sun Solaris box needs to run the Teradata Utilities (BTEQ,FASTLOAD etc.)????

Hi,
According to the Release definitions for Teradata clients.

click on release definitions and chose the version you want.
The latest version is TUF 6.1 released 2 weeks ago.

We support both Solaris 7 and Solaris 8.

We support most utilities on both the Sparc and Intel solaris boxes except for JDBC which is only supported on the SPARC platform.

You probably are required to have Administrative privledge to install the packages.

I don't think we have many hardware requirements.

How much disk space is required I don't know.

Since Solaris is a Client system I would assume a LAN connection to the Teradata Server box is required.

You might need a Tape drive or library if you want to run ARC unless you write your archive to the disks.

Hope this helps.
