Im in SQL Server trying to use the sp_addlinkedserver stored procedure to create a linked server to our teradata database. I cannot figure it out and nobody is any help here. Perhaps I need a DSN-less connection string if anybody knows how to set that up(?)...though it really shouldnt matter. This is the code that i've been fiddling with.....

USE master
GO
EXEC sp_addlinkedserver
@server = 'test',
@srvproduct = 'Teradata',
@provider = 'MSDASQL',
@datasrc = 'MySystemLevelDSN'
GO

SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(test, 'SELECT * FROM LivingArrangement')

EXEC sp_dropserver 'test'
GO
