I'm new to NetBackup, so I might be missing something obvious so bear with me.
I need to backup DB2 on Windows 2003, from a Windows NBU Master, also 2003.
I've pushed the clients to the hosts, and regular file backups work as far as I can tell. According to the manual, no special database agents are needed in 5.1, NetBackup will automatically detect what it needs on each client. On the client, I can browse DB2 databases for a manual backup, although I haven't actually tried to backup from the client.

On the Master server I want to configure scheduled backups, and I've created a new policy with DB2 as the type. I can add the clients and schedules to the policy, but when I try to configure the selection list the manual for DB2 states you could use templates or your own scripts. It seems to me, being a DB2 novice, I want to use templates. However, the template drop-down is blank. It leaves room to type in whatever you like, and you can also browse. The browser just opens up a file browser for the clients, and I don't really know what to select.
There is no further explanation in the manuals on templates, and I can't find anything in the release notes.

Any advice is appreciated.

Never mind, I found it in another part of the documentation.
You have to create the templates manually through the NetBackup client gui.
