Hi Everyone
I have windows 2000 professional.I don't have space on my C drive.I want to ask how important are the folders and files in the directory "Temp".Can I delete them.
Here is the path
C:/User/LocalSettings/Temp

Thanks

Typically, it is safe to delete the contents of TEMP. Usually when you install a program, items are temporarily placed in this directory and occasionally left behind when the install completes (much worse in Win9x/ME).

Just keep in mind that it is possible for sensitive files to be placed in this folder, whether intentional or not. However, only a poorly written app would do such a thing! Of course, there's always the possibility of you placing them there yourself.

I'd say delete 'em and move on with your life. However, if you want to be on the safe side, move them to your recycyle bin and wait a few days before you empty it (assuming you have no problems).
