Generally, I can telnet to other mail servers with no problem. I use this to test remote servers in the instance of returned email to troubleshoot and start to determine if it a remote server or our server. Today, we are getting delays when sending mail to the worldnet.att.net domain, and I am unable to telnet into their mail server form inside my network. It returns the error 550 <my external ip address> must be verifiable in DNS. I have used telnet to connect to their server from a dial up conection as well as a outside broadband connection. So from what I can tell, it appears to be a problem with our ip adress, but I am not sure what the problem could be. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
