Hi all,

Does any know whether it is possible to lock the rights down on a TM login so that a user can browse phone settings only?

When going in to the groups admin page I am forced to add read/write access to both:

Navigator -> Telephones -> Search

and Sites -> All Sites I want them to browse.

Setting 'read only' rights prevents the user from seeing the phone settings, or even the actual site.

They are unable to change anything, but the downside is they *can* click the save button in TM which changes the Transmitted phone in to a 'Change' state.

I understand I can educate them never to click save, but you and me both know this will happen - we will end up with a messy TM database with a host of change state phones in there.

The second question is:

When creating a new set in TM I only get the option to put the DN in, no name.
When clicking Finish and if I go back in to the set (in a 'new' status, I do get the option to put a name against this DN.
Is this a feature? Can it be turned off?

CS1000, release 5, TM 3.1, SU 4.

Thanks!

1st;
In 'Web Administration' the 'User Groups' can be edited.
Is the edit window tab 'Navigator' all set to 'Read Only' and is the 2nd tab 'Telephone' all set to 'Read Only' ?

2nd;
Depends on if (Corporate) Directory Options are set, sorry I have no experience yet with configuring those..

Ah, thank you very much Utreg, there are a lot more settings by using the web admin area of the User Groups. I will have a play.

As for the 2nd question - I have found a quicker solution to bulk adding phones.
When I choose add I put in say 10 or 20 phones of the same make with automatic allocation of TN's.

This way, when I go in to the phone I can actually edit the name against whatever DN I put in.

As for question 1; cheers that does let me restrict that the user sees but they still have the Save button visable and clickable, and it is this that I need to remove or disable.

Regards.
