In previous environments that I have written database software, I was able to write a scheme to restrict access to
my applications. I am trying to come up with the best possible way to let my user's pay (rent) my software giving
them a random key that changes everyday so that no 2 clients
can use the same key.
In this process, if the correct key is given via a 'Enter Access Code' prompt, it would write out a date 30 days ahead
and then check this upon login and either let them in or
advise that Access has expired. In my experience with this
people looking for software are more apt to pay a $200.00
setup fee and rent my software for $150.00 a month, as opposed to $4995.00.
Just thought I'd get some response from you all on this.
Thank You.
