I need to setup a network print server utilizing HP Standard TCP/IP Port, I go Add Printer, My Computer, Add Port, but HP Standard TCP/IP Port doesn't show up in the list. How to I get this to show up in the Printer Ports dialog box. Any help will greatly appreciated.

there used to be software called JetAdmin that you could get from HP as a download (they have replaced it with something else) You have to install this software on your computer to be able to find other IP addresses (printers)on your LAN. Also you have to make sure networking for TCPIP is installed on your PC. Rightclick on Network Neighborhood, click on Properties and make sure the Protocol for TCPIP is installed.

The INPW (Install Network Printer Wizard) or the HP Web JetAdmin can be downloaded from HP.com. Either of these two programs will definately install the HP Standard TCP/IP port on your machine :)
