On client machines -- is it correct that NETLOGON functions and DNS-based resource lookups still require this service, even if Netbios over TCP/IP is DISABLED?
I've found that disabling this service will cause problems with a number of domain functions, but lots of "experts" list it as a service that can be disabled, even in an AD/domain environment...
