Hi, we have a Mac OS 9 that randomly have TCP/IP failure,
to make it more complicated, we manage it remotely so there is no way to check the error message popup in the screen (if there is..)...

the temporary solutions is to reboot the server...

my question is, do you have this kind of problem before ?
and how do you solve this issues ?

the second question is, is there any system log files in Mac ?

thanks

1) Open the TCP/IP control panel.

2) Click the Edit Menu and select User Mode, switching from Basic to Administration (note - do not set a Password), then click "OK".

3) Click the Options button in the lower right corner, and make sure "Load Only When Needed" is NOT checked, then click "OK".

4) Click the Close box in the upper left corner, and when you are prompted, Save.

If this solves your problem, follow these same directions and before step 4, click the little padlock icons to "lock in" your options.

Good luck!
