Tasks--status of

Is there a way to check for the status of tasks and/or to see if tasks are still running.

Run sp_who2 which shows the running processes. You can identify scheduled tasks checking Program Name field (there should be something like this):<br>

If you are trying to find this out in a program I would use Lehroant's method, but if you are just curious from a dba view you could use the following:<br>

Start the task scheduler in the enterprise manager. The second tab is called 'running', I think!, and this will tell what tasks are running. This is in version 6.5 - I'm not sure about 7.0.<br>

On the 7.0 side, you want to start the enterprise manager, expand management, then look in SQL Server Agent
