Hello!thanks in advance.i am having a problem with running scheduled tasks.they do not run.norton will not scan computer at preset times.i had this problem before and posted it here and got it fixed but that was a long time ago!i know if i use a passsword it will work, but i do not want to do that.if i go into scheduled tasks and right click and go to run it will not work.i can manually go in and scan the computer.task schedular is running in services
i dont remember what it was but it was very simple to fix before.funny how one can forget the simple things so easy!

See if any of these give you a clue.

Error Message: The New Task Has Been Created, But May Not Run Because the Account Information Could Not Be Set(Q250039)
Task Scheduler Service Must Be Started with System Account(Q223170)

305824 - PRB: Database/Object Transfer Scheduled Task Fails After Owner's Password Changes

264604 - Scheduled Backup Jobs May Not Run As Expected

This behavior is by design. Users in the Run As box in Scheduled tasks need to have read access to the scheduled executable and any associated companion files required to complete the task.

If you ever find the solution again, write it down. Good luck
