Tapes Not Recognized

I am runnning an OnStream device on my Netware 6.5 server. Everything was going along well as far as backing up when suddenly tapes were not recognized. At first it was only one or two but now it is all of them. I've tried reformatting, renaming and what-have-you but nothing has worked. Do these ADR2 tapes time-out? A number of years ago we had a backup system using tapes that would work for only a year before they deactivated themselves.

Any help is appreciated.
