Tapes are not full !

Since upgrading from 6.1.2 to 7.2 i have the problem, that some tapes (LTO2) only store ca. 140 GB. Normaly the tapes store betwen 250 and 400 GB.
I dont no why :)
Can someone help me?

I think most people will understand you even though they have to guess from time to time ;-)


If you only updated NW, then i think it is a NW problem. However, NW does not use own device drivers. If you have changed those at the same time, this could also be a problem. Also you could try to disable the new tape drive control mechanism called CDI and switch back to "SCSI commands". There have been seen some problems in the past.


You may try to find out more using the tapeexer utility.
