I'm using BE9.1 and running anywhere between 60-100 individual backup jobs a night.
An issue I've come across is that when I check on the status in a morning I sometimes have jobs that are q'd having backed up an amount of data. The machine will be requesting more overwriteable media, even though at least one of the tapes will only be partially used (LTO 100/200gb tapes).
I've currently got the media management set to Partial - protect & Overwrite recyclable media before scratch.
Any jobs being started will run on the space on these tapes, just not jobs that have already started. These partially completed jobs will however run if a fully overwriteable tape is inserted.
Is this the normal operation of Be 9.1? Or can I rectifiy this issue?
As you can imagine its causing some issues with my scheduling and tape management as I'm left with some tapes only having a few gb of data on them.
