Tape pops out by itself

On one of our servers, 2minutes after I put the tape in, it just pops out. Why?
This is on Win2K, Sp4. BE 9.1

You have posted in the wrong forum even though most might now BE. The forum you should post to is forum481

I would suggest checking the alerts, more than likely BE wants some action to be taken such as erase or retention.

This is a Netbackup forum and the subscribers may not have the depth of knowlege in BackupExec as is available from the participants in the BackupExec forum.

This might be caused if the media that us available in the drive is full or is not appendable.

-Have you selected the option Backup Tab ->Device and Media->Eject Media after job completes?

-Ensure that there are no pending alerts under the "Alerts" tab in Backup Exec. If yes, respond to them accordingly.

-Verify if the media used for the backup job has reached to its capacity.
