I am running backup exe 9.1.

I am running an unattended backup each night. Every night when I come in the tape is ejected and I have an Alert saying that there is no media in the drive. I put the tape back in and tell it to continue, then it backs up.
I know that I am missing a option somehwere but do not know where. PLEASE HELP! THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Hi,
I am having the exact same problem at a couple of clients so I know it is not an isolated issues. I too would appreciate any inisght. It is occurring in a W2K3 Environment with BE 9.1 and a HP DAT 72 drive.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Are you sure it isn't asking for a second tape? When the first tape gets full, it will eject the tape and tell you to please insert media.

- Zoe, that's ZOH-EEE, get it right please

no, it doesn't ask for a second tape, it just said media not found please insert media, do you want to continue.

I was having this problem with BE 9.0. Solved it by erasing the new tape earlier in the day, and assigning it to the proper media set.

I've also had this problem with BE 8.6. Have tried a long erase before backing-up, tried brand new HP tapes (with my HP drive), run cleaning tape 5 times before backing-up, re-started tape drive & server. Nothing has worked....

Any other ideas?
