Tape Erase

A few weeks ago a backup failed, so I erased the tape. Can I now just put the tape back into the backup set or does thing else need to be done to the tape?

I think you can just put it back into rotation. I hardly ever erase tapes - I just move them to scratch media and they are ready to be overwritten - takes less time than erasing.
