I have running into a new problem, where it seems the tape engine would stop and not give any Error what so ever. This is the third time this has happened, the only thing that they have in common is there was a restore done on that box previously in the day on all three occasions.
Tape Drive: LTO2 Dell autoloader
Media: LTO2
Arcserve: ver11.1

update
update all other ARCserve servers
if on a SAN update all at the same time

This particular server has the Tape drive connected directly. It has had no issues for weeks and started doing this. Arcserve 11.1 and SP1 are installed.

Thanks David

(1) check whether you are seeing any logs tskept*.log in the arcserve server? If it is there, then check for the dll which is causing this trouble.

(2) Any errors in the event logs ?

(3) What are the type of restores you are doing, which ends in the tape engine being stopped? I.e. are they normal flat file restores, database restores . Any pattern there?
