Tape engine refuses to start

I'm running Arcserve 2000. The tape engine refuses to start. What can I do?

Have you tried going into services, and changing the log on properties for that particular service (tape engine) and setting the account to: This Account: and then specify an administrator account and password, rather than the Local Account?

The error says that it cannot create a file since that file already exists. WHAT file is it talking about?

Set the tape angine service to start automatically and reboot the machine. See if the tape engine is running after the reboot.
