Am using BAB 11.1, and an HP 5052 Tape library, on W2K3 SP1 over fibre.
After some HBA Card firmware updates, tape Engine crashes and the HP tape library has become unstable, displaying several E8033 and E8021 errors. Had been very reliable up till now.

Has anyone seen this kind of behaviour before, or perhaps knows easy ways to clear these errors? I have not been able to restart the tape engine yet as I have had a 3TB job running since Tue (not running to the 5052 library..)

I think you answered your own question - look at what you changed :

"After some HBA Card firmware updates, tape Engine crashes and the HP tape library has become unstable ... Had been very reliable up till now."

If that was the only thing you changed - it's unlikely that the problem lies in your ARCserve configuration.
