My SCSI Exabyte 8700 stopped working on my NT Server. It just errored out. I opened it and a couple of small screws and broken plastict parts came out:(
I've tried to get it to work again but without luck.
Besides an exabyte 8700, what other tape drives do you all use or recommend that will work with an NT4 Server.
Thanks for the Help.

I like the Sony AIT models, good price, great speed.

Should work fine with NT, here is a compatibility chart, but its dated 2004, so you might want to call and see if they have a presales dept that can verify for sure.

Please always take the time to backup important data and verify that backup, before making any changes suggested.

I'll second that - I have Sony AIT2s in ADIC 220 libraries. They run fine with with NT, W2K and W2K3 servers. Drivers can be a bit of a pain, but once they're running they are rock-solid. Mine have been going for six years (knocks on wood).
