Hi All!

We have a TALC card in an Option 11C that the customer wants to use for recording ACD calls. In the cable slot for the card, there is an ethernet connection to the elan hub and there is also a 9pin plug that is not connected. I have these questions:

1) Is there an IP address, if so, how do I find the IP address associated with this card?

2) How do I associate the Agent phone to the card (there in no cross-connect?) Is it a data TN?

As Always....Thanks for any/all help!

might check with Telstrat on that. i've only played with one and it's been forever..

if i remember correctly.
you assign the ip via the serial mmi. you build stations on it as if it was a dig card... once you get the ip assinged you http to that address and get a login screen to access a gui.. almost 15 years ago, we test drove some cards at a 911 center.. so don't think my post is carved in stone

It's been a while for me but to vaguely answer your questions:

1) Is there an IP address, if so, how do I find the IP address associated with this card? There is an IP address for each TALC card in the system. You use a program called TALC Configuration Manager to assign the IP address, setup the ports, etc.

2) How do I associate the Agent phone to the card (there in no cross-connect?) Is it a data TN? It does use cross-connects. The cable that goes with the card should have an amphenol tail along with the ethernet and serial connections. You connect your amphenol from the backboard to that cable.
