It's time to upgrade my system, but first I need to know what I already have. Some issues are easy- I know what I have for CD-ROMs and HD's (as I bought them myself), and how much RAM I have, but I don't know what kind of motherboard I have, or what kind of RAM I have (as they came pre-installed). Other than asking the people who installed them, what are some good ways of finding out exactly what I have?

Thanks all... Liam Morley

Turn the system off and open it up and physically look at it. Thats one way. Another is to download a program that will "snoop" your system and tell you what you have. Unfortunatly I do not know the name of one off the top of my head. Unless someone else does I will have to wait till monday to get one.(I have one at work) James Collins

Thanks for your reply ... as far as I can tell, just looking at the mobo or RAM card isn't going to tell me the type/specs.
Liam Morley

"light the deep, and bring silence to the world.
light the world, and bring depth to the silence."
