taking sql server offline to defragment discs

Hello,

How can i schedule to take sql server offline so i can ran defragmentation multiple times at night?

I would be very greatful if i know to do this.

What kind of defragmentation are you talking about? Operating system defragging or running the SQL Server command DBCC INDEXDEFRAG.

If it's the SQL Server command, you can do that while the databases are online.
