tabless layout--fixed center column

Recently making my first attempts at tableless layout (after reviewing glish.com and Eric Meyer's css).

I want the center column to be fixed and not allow the rightcontent (images) to overlay the center column. View

Netscape (7.01) issues: right column is not displaying.

Why are you setting the z-index to -1 for that right column? Try either not specifying the z-index or setting it to 1.
