Table Lookups

I have Paradox 9 Developer's Edition running, but when I try to create a table lookup, I get the message "File Name too long for a Paradox version 5.0 table."

As far as I can see the tables I am creating are version 7,8 & 9, and not version 5 tables. Obviously, by re-naming the tables and shortening their names to less than eight characters I do not have a problem, but I do not want to be resticted to short table names. I have tried the Table Repair Utility, but that doesn't appear to do anything.

Can anyone help?
