I am using crystal report 8. I want to use ttx definition file instead of linking to database in design time.

Can anyone tell me what is the mapping of the field types in crystall report and the real table field type?

For example, I don't know what field type should I use in Crystal Report that my real table type is 'Float'. Also, I don't know what is the meaning of 'Short', 'Long', 'Byte' field types when I creating a ttx file.

Any help is appreciate.

Thx.

hi

TTX is a definition of your table
It must be de same defintion and type as your table

ex: table ttx
First_Name varchr First_Name varchr

check your table definition and check the type

Is it ok by using varchar in ttx file for CR 8.0?

There is no varchar option in TTX file designer.
