I am building a database in Access 2000. I have noticed that when I am using a tabbed control if I update the last tab stop rather than advance to the next record, it will take me back to the first tab stop on the form. Anyone know why? Any way to get around that?

Have a look at the Cycle property of the Form object.

Hope This Helps, PH.

My problem is I don't want it to cycle. It is a data entry form and I want to be able to advance to the next entry whether or not I enter data in the last tab stop.

So, the Cycle property should be 0.

The options in cycle property are, All records, current record, and current page. None of them are doing what I want it to do.

Have you tried "All records" in all forms ?

I have. It is really odd, if I don't put a value in the last tab stop then the form advances to the next record. It is only if I change the last tab stop. This happens every time, if I change the last tab stop, then just tab through everything, it will advance. Any help appreciated.

Any code in some event procedure of the last tab stop ?

Nope. Just looks like all the other tab stops.

And the BeforeUpdate event procedure of the form(s) ?
