I created a form with several pages of tab controls. I created a subform which has four of it's own tabs. When I click in the tab where the "subtab" is, the tab furthest to the left is only half way visible. I click on another of the "subtabs" and everything moves over a bit to the right and the one furthest left is visible. I don't understand how to set up tab controls so everything is correctly aligned from tab to tab. My greatest wish as a non-expert access user is that form design could be more WYSWIG. I have Access 2000.

The answer is already here but I don't think I've found the correct search terms. An aside, when I try to search for keyword in the forum and say I only want to search the Access Form Forum, it searches all forums anyway. Anyone who sees this know what that's about?

Thanks.

I believe the problem is in the sizing of your form (or subform). Check the Details section of you form (subform) that its not any bigger than it needs to be.

FnacyPrairie is correct. If your form is larger (even if slightly larger) than the open window. When you select the form, it re-aligns itself. For example, a form that is vertically just a bit too large, when you hit the PAGE-DOWN key will not advance to the next record on the first key press - you may see a slight shift in the screen orientation. The second key-press will advance to the next record.

Your issue, as discribed, sounds like the form is too large horizontally.

Ahh, to have more real estate on the screen...

Well, I'm kind of embarassed because that is all it took. I just didn't think they were too wide. So thanks for getting me to check that.
