T7406 Second incoming line will not ring?

My customer has the following problem: A T7406 is used as a mobile backup for the receptionist while she is roaming around the office. If an incoming call comes in on L145 she answers the call. While she is on that call, if another incoming call comes in on L145, it will blink but not ring. I have the programming setup for Ring Only on Line 145 with 3 appearances.

Is there anything I am missing in programming or is this just something they have to live with on this proprietary telephone. It seems silly to me that if you sell someone the T7406 vs. a regular cordless via ATA or ASM, you should be able to have full functionality of features such as multiple lines ringing. Please advise. How do you have it as ring only with 3 appearances?? Does the station have more than one intercom assignment? That's where your ring only lines come to-

It sounds more like you have Appear Only with 3 appearances. Ring only will send all calls to the intercom keys.
Try that. Have the lines ring only, assign 3 intercoms, and make sure Handsfree is assigned so you can see the 1st intercom key
 
It is programmed as "Ring Only" and not Appear Only. It is also assigned 3 I/C buttons with Handsfree. All I/C buttons can be viewed on the handset.

If you are unaware, with Target lines you can assign multiple line appearances for "Ring Only" as long as you have the I/C buttons to support the number of paths you select.

Does anyone else have any idea's?
 
First: Is DND on busy set to yes?

Second: T7406 will only give a beep tone through the receiver if you are already on a call.
 
Yea, I knew that the ability was there, but why? Think about it. How many appearances should I assign for this line that doesn't appear? Maybe next Nortel will allow us to set the ring type for lines that don't ring.

And bkrike is right. Intrusion tone only for multiple calls
 
Thanks for the replies again. I guess it is what it is! as far as the # of line appearance for "Appear Only" lines, it is depending on how many I/C paths you wish to allocate...but I know it's kind of weird to call them "Appearances".

You should also be allowed to set up a group in a PRI Target line situation to look "Square". In other words, lets say L145 is main number with 5 appearances on attendant station.....why can't you also assign L145 with 5 appearances on another station so when they are put on hold you can pick up as if an Line 2, line 3, etc..? Otherwise you have to transfer or Park the call and page. I really don't mind the latter, but the customer thinks it is silly that they can't look square and still have DID's as Ring Only thru the I/C buttons.
