We got a client passed over to us last week. They have a CICS with ?? Rls 5 or 6 I think. The T7316 e sets show up in programming as M7310 sets. The issue is the speaker button is not ingaging when you press it. The sets are labeled with 2 intercom buttons eventhough the last button is actually a handsfree button. I usually only put 2 intercom buttons on a set not the handsfree??? What is wrong here ???

older software that came out before the e sets
this is normal function that the hands free be underneath the intercom

if you want to use the hands free button that is in between the mute and handset buttons you will need to upgrade software

s/w needs to be 6.1 for the 7316e set to work properly

Look on the side of the flash card and it should read the S/W version.

Even if you put an T7316e series phone on an old software released system, the Handfree/Mute button will be programmed on the Bottom Right of the LCD display.

The handsfree button below the dial pad will not work.

Oh -- is handsfree enabled on under the Capabilities of the set?

I think that's what the other guys are getting at. In pre-6.1 sw the system sees the 7316's as M7310's.

Ahhhh,
I thought Telllman was looking for verification that the Handsfree is programmed on the bottom of the LCD buttons, not the button located on the bottom of the keypad.

My bad :)
