t7316 phone show as m7310 cant change it

the m7310 set type shows in the system EVEN if on the back of the phone the phone model shows t7316 but the issue i run into here it shows it as 10 + 24 button and the programmable line keys show up as

but all the other phones show up as t7316e

is there a update or soemthing in the system that i need to do because i connected a t7316e phone where a m7310 (but its really a t7316) to an ext lost all its button progamming because it was a 10+24

and not a 16+8 like the t7316e phones


Really tricky im very new to the nortel but its easy to learn..

Pre-T series software sees all T series sets as M series.

Also, even on 7.1 software, the T7316 will ALWAYS be seen as a M7310. The T7316 was hard coded as a M7310. It uses the same kind of software the M7310 does, just the design is different. For full functionality with a T7316, you need to have the T7316E. If you are at a certain software revision, the T7316E will be seen as a M7310 still. I believe that ICS 6.1 was the first software to support the E.

Correct me if I am wrong?

yea its not the t7316e its all t7316 phones ....

so even if upgrading the system would still show the t7316 phones as m7310 s


couldnt copy from a t7316e to a m7310 (shows a t7316)

and i ran into an issue with having more then 10 lines on the phones

assuming its because 10 + 24 and only 10 buttons so even if i put the line pool a with the last line they lift their handset to grab it

Try assigning 3 lines to the set, then F*81 and move the 3 lines up.
Then assign the rest of the lines.

I think that was the fix.

haha i actually tried that it said like invalid when i did the F*81

sorry, if it shows as a m7310 the top 6 buttons( with lcd indicators )3 per side)are not available for co's it's like trying to put lines on the top 12 buttons

True. Your only option to mirror the 7316e's on site is to replace the non-e's with e's.
