I need to determine how our current Circuit is signalling. CAS or PRI and if PRI what type of PRI. Is there a way in the PBX to see this information.

I found a refernce for:
ld 60 stat Which said will show how T1's are built.

Is this exactly what I'm looking for?

ld 22, prt cequ, will show that as a trk, not pri,, you can print the rdb in 21, that will show isdn no, non pri.. you can prt adans, no d build fo for loop 1.. you can ld 96 stat dch, that will show all d's built and the status..

ld 21 prt rdb will also show sig type, ld 20 prt tnb will show start arrangement... if it was pri that would show d-channel sig instead of grd or mnk/lop

The circuit is definitely not a PRI

Okay, you either have 20 people working there, or your carrier sold you a wacky setup. Why don't you get 20 2 way DID's, instead of 6, and 12 COT's? Even if your COT's have another number, you can have that number put on top of the DID's and use IDC to route it. It might be cheaper. If you change it from T-1 to PRI you'll have all the neat CLID features too.

First I want to say I did not set this up. This was a setup designed before I got here. I have had the phone company who also provides support once in a while tell me we have a wacky setup.

The reason I'm being asked for this information is we are moving to a circuit that shares our data and voice over one circuit basically like a voip using QOS. I have to research the name of the service but they adtran device they need to setup to communicate (signaling) properly with our service.

If your going to use ISDN-PRI make sure you have the Licenses in your switch other wise your going have to upgrade

Is there a simple way for me to tell what I have or what I can run and post to decipher?

You don't have the packages to support ISDN-PRI

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

Here is what I'm being asked:
localPhoneProvider is saying that the handoff is analog but I confirmed with a Technical coordinator at Qwest yesterday that the Nortel Option 11 C is a digital PBX. Originally this was set up for digital and the previous sales team probably guessed on the signaling. My concern is that if we don’t configure the signaling protocol correctly the circuit will not perform as it should. Can you please confirm with localPhoneProvider. I called and did not get a call back which does not surprise me as we are replacing their service. Here are the options. I will tell you that the most common is ni(1) and e&m wink. You will definitely want to have a vendor selected prior to the install. Please let me know what you can find out as soon as you can.

Thanks,

primary-ni(1) - National ISDN Switch type for the U.S.
primary-ni(2) - National ISDN Switch type for the U.S
primary-qsig - QSIG switch type

e&m-delay-dial - E & M Delay Dial
e&m-immediate-start - E & M Immediate Start
e&m-wink-start - E & M Wink Start

These are not ISDN. Print a TNB for 1-1, 1-11, and 1-17, you will get the route and also the signalling for each type of trunk

what ld (20) do I run this (TNB) in?

These are old DTI trunks. Configured as if delivered over a D4 channel bank. The information you have should be sufficient for the new telco. You can also print out the RDB's in overlay 21.
